AZZARO COUTURE presents
SEEDY TRICKS by Sylvie Kreusch
To unveil Olivier Theyskens’ first creations for Azzaro Couture during the Haute Couture Digital Week, the House has given carte blanche to musician Sylvie Kreusch and director Lukas Dhont…
The flamboyant sensuousness of the Azzaro woman has stood the test of time, and this season the Brand celebrates her in this new world: a liberated, assertive epicurean Amazon who draws strength on her uniqueness.
Wreathed in mystery, the designs cultivate a retro-futurist aesthetic where structure and movement are used to delineate plays on light and shadow, opacity and transparency, matte and shine.
AUTUMN – WINTER 2020 – 2021
The men’s wardrobe draws on a mixed couture-bohemian spirit with chain fringes, flowing prints, and metallics. The volumes may be more structured, but the lightness of movement is expressed here in rivets and studs sprinkled over jackets and shirts. Chains enliven the front of a jacket and form the initial A on the back. The colours here echo the women’s colours with emerald, tie & dye and indigo tones as well as the silver sparkle of studs and eyelets. That intensity can be seen in a jewel-toned jacket-bermuda set, a technical windbreaker with opalescent accents, and an iridescent coated trench.
Loris Azzaro dresses the most beautiful women in the world. Marisa Berenson, Jane Birkin, Dalida, Sophia Loren, Brigitte Bardot or Tina Turner are among the faithful of the rue du Faubourg St Honoré where Loris set up his workshops and his Couture salon in 1970. The press seized the phenomenon and his muses made the cover of the biggest fashion magazines who love the festive and sensual spirit of these photos.
